Trailkeep Documentation
Everything you need to plan trips, manage gear, and stay safe on demanding trails.
Welcome to the Trailkeep docs. Whether you are planning your first multi-day route or setting up a safety network for a month-long thru-hike, this documentation covers every feature in the platform.
What is Trailkeep?
Trailkeep is a planning and safety platform for anyone who goes deep into the outdoors for more than a day. In one place you get:
- Pack Planner — build gear lists, track weight by category, store items in a reusable gear vault, and import from LighterPack
- Trip Planner — build day-by-day itineraries, upload GPX routes, add waypoints, and co-edit with your group in real time
- Safety system — automatic overdue alerts, a personal Safety QR (anyone who scans it can ask to be alerted if you go overdue), and GPS location capture during active trips (part of the Trip Planner)
It is built for anyone planning serious time on the trail — whether that is a long weekend or a months-long route.
